Does anyone know if the 2206 steel spur will fit on the mbx8t?
#35
2206 will not fit, you need E2235

No, I put them both on my buggy and truggy this week. Planning to test them out this weekend. I've heard good things though and Adam Drakes video is pretty informative.

It's fast and very stable through the turns with those new -3mm upright arms. I went up in the middle diff so now running 10/12/7, setup is based on Drakes setup for the MTBX8T, but running more rear toe, pills to the outside. I've got about 8 packs in and the diffs are feeling broken in at this point. I haven't had a chance to race yet but compared to the 7, the overall feeling is much more planted and I feel I could push a lot harder through the turns.

MBX8TE VS ET48.3
What advantages do you guys see in this kit over the ET48.3? Besides being years newer. I own two other Tekno vehicles and it would make sense for me to get that truggy as a lot of the maintenance parts are the same. However, I would like to try a different brand.

I haven't run Tekno, so I couldn't tell you. However, from what I've heard from folks who have made the comparison, Mugen is a bit more stable and less twitchy than Tekno. But honestly, both are fast as hell in the right hands. I came from TLR which was a bit twitchy as well, moving to pillow ball suspension for me, made driving so much more pleasant.
Perhaps see if you can get your hands on one at your local track and take one for a spin?

i had the et48 and 48.3 both great trucks but i sold the ,3 before last season. like you wanted to try something different so decided on the mugen. i also had the eb48.2/3, and .4 and once i tried a wider buggy (xb8e) i felt i had found the right car for me. hoping the mbx8te gives me the same satisfaction.
