I've never run an angled servo with a SpeedMerchant
Works awesome flat with the links angled back

My build is coming along nicely. Ordered some Lunsford "accessories" for the front end camber and steering turnbuckles. Just because I have the ability to bend things that should not ever bend, mind you. I hope to have it running this weekend and get a real setup started.

Rear:
.20 rear springs

the past few weeks I have tried a .018 front spring with .020 rears, the rest pretty much the same as above but 1.0 degree front camber and 17.5. I liked the way it felt, very controlled. but I am losing time in corners where the car seems to dig in and lose speed. I like how the car behaves except that I am losing time. I noted Josh Cyrul's setup and others are also running 18 fronts. the grip is pretty high at times, the carpet is a few years old and has a lot of stuff built in it.

I get around faster with a 20 or 21 front. is there a driving style/skill that i need to develop to use the softer front? are you using exponential and a slower turn in to drive it thru the corner? these 1/12 cars get thru the corner so quickly it is difficult to imagine steering more slowly and still making the corner.

Josh has a driving style, and you know he knows a TON about setup. So, you can bet his car suits his particular preferences. Don't be put off your own conclusions. Nothing you're describing sounds off the reservation; fast setups with 0.20 or 0.21 front springs are not uncommon.

Thanks, I guess my fastest just isn't fast enough, my lap times are always off about .5 sec from the front runners. I was trying a different path to get past this flat spot.

Just received my Rev 8. Cant wait to build it!

Anyone know what servos fit perfectly.

I see there are two different mounting options.

Anyone have the rundown of what happened to the SM cars in Florida? I watched Josh's last quali and his main and looked like the car just stopped and was picked up in the main unless I missed a big impact on the Live RC feed.
