Default OS tm and tz

i have a new TZ motor and the shaft that will not fit my revo, will the TM crank fit the TZ?
Also is the difference in the TZ and TM in the crank? so if it works together will it run like a TM or TZ?
thanks

What version TZ do you have? is it the TZ-TX with a standard shaft?

im not sure of the shaft but its longer then the tm is, if you install the flywheel it has a large space between the treads and flywheel.

if your looking to still use the traxxes ez start you need the tm crank. if your using a bump box then the tz is a drop in. my buddy has this set up and it really goes good.

do you have pics of your tz so we can tell what model it is?

the shaft is the wrong one to fit in the revo, its to long even if you trim the end so i can't use that TZ stock shaft i've been told, what i need to find out is I have a old TM crank from another motor and will the TM shaft work in the TZ case and will the motor run as a TM or TZ

the tm crank will go right into the tz. and it will run like a tz. the difference between a tm and a tz is the sleeve.the tz has more ports. i'm sure there are acouple little other differences but the tm crank will work in the tz.

It will NOT run like a TZ because the port timing is different from a TM. Running a TZ in a Revo is very easy. I did it years ago and even ran an 1/8th scale 3 shoe clutch. Go on the Traxxas Revo thread and use the "search" feature for pictures.
