Diff cleaning
What do guys use to clean your diffs? I am looking for something that will help dissolve the diff oil. I run 1/8 oval and we really thick fluids. Getting all the fluid out and off the gears is a real pain. Have you guys found anything that works. I personally use 125k fluid in the front and center and 10k in the rear. It makes the car work, but also me while cleaning and changing oils. Thanks for any and all help.

Umm probably your average nitro cleaner should do the trick...i really try everything like Goop that doesnt have the sand and also like WD40 sometimes will help get some of it off :/...those are my methods but im sure there are much better ones out there !!

I have never used anything that would cut through silicone fluid
like VM&P Naptha. Get jar or other suitable container and a tea strainer
to hold the small parts. Thanks to INTEGRA for this tip.

Go to your auto repair guy and ask him for some parts cleaner they get from Safety Kleen. Works really good I use it all the time, I just dip all my parts in it for about 15 minutes.

I think it was on one of Ryan Lutz's videos that I saw him empty the oil out and then put some really light shock oil in and spun the gears to almost dilute the thicker oil that remained and then empty/drain again etc...
You could then try standing the diffs/gears on some baby wipes as those things seem to attract and absorb the oil really well!

Just open them up remove gears turn the housing upside down and let stand for thirty minutes on a paper towel, then rebuild. No solvent needed.
