Default best bearings Price not a factor.

My bearings keep locking up (wont say what brand). And the clutch bearings fail way to easy.

I know mugen bearings are VERY high quality. I still have my original outer wheel bearings and diff bearings (mostly). They have lasted at least 6 or 7 gallons, which is more then anyone could ask for. They are just about worthy of rebuilding, but i am weary or rebuilding because they just are not the same.

I know this question has been asked before, but it is usually based on cost before quality.

Xray bearings are little cheaper but not all the right sizes.

Bocca?

Does tko make wheel and pinion bearings? I am having a hard time finding them. And what is the quality?

Pro-tech is all over the place. How are they?

There could be other reason CB bearings fail, not always the bearings fault.

sorry, it's the bearings fault. I am very meticulous about clutch bell shimming and gear mesh. My mugen clutch bearings lasted at least 3 gallons. I had to take them out after a bad head on collision.

But i have been trying all the cheaper 1 dollar bearings because everyone says how good they are (this is only my experience with certain dollar bearings).

But they are no where near the quality of mugen bearings. But they are 3 bucks a pop. But at this point i don't care anymore.

I am going to try tko.

ETA i took the name of the bearings i was using out. It's not fair to the company

Default Bearing performance

I posted the previous thread link just for new readers could review posts, that I found interesting. Furthermore, I find running quality clutch bearings essential to minimizing further stress (excessive heat + crank vibration) thru engine. Mabee another form of preventative maintenance to add to our list. I personally will be buying high grade ceramic balls and chromium raced to run this season. European (SWISS) manufactured would be my first choice.

Try this web site, he has all the bearings you need plus more. Also check out the disk brakes. Very fast shipping. Highly recommend.

I have had great success with avid bearings. I just ordered some TKO diff bearings and wheel bearings and I will see how they hold up. For the clutch I like the Losi HD bearings I havent found any other company that run as long with a little cleaning and re-oil they last for awhile 1-2 gallons. Now on the CB you do have to shim it properly.

+1 on Avid's and TKO's for clutch

I run the Revolutions on my entire car except the Clutch.

The Avid's are great. The 1/2 x 3/4 Inner Wheel bearings from Avid last me 2.5gallons w/o any re-oil or cleaning except for an air compressor, but even if they didn't almost getting a gallon on any of them is getting way more then your moneys worth since they are all only $1 a piece.

I buy about 20 at a time of all the sizes and I'm set for about 5 full bearing rebuilds.

The TKO's in my clutch are amazing as well. I get a gallon + on them everytime w/o any work to them. If I actually maintained them they prob would last way longer.

Avid is the best bearing for the price. You cannot go wrong with Avid's! David Joor (Owner of Avid) is a great guy as well! Top notch quality for a very low price!

I can not speak for any of the high end bearings or most ceramics.

I have ran TKO, avid, Boca, proteck, stock manufacture, and a few others.

I prefer Answer RC bearings

Maybe it has something to do with the price, maybe. But they are high quality. Some of the bearings from the companies listed above might be better in quality, but not by too much. But I guess that I might be a bit bias due to their higher price tag.
