I use one. It is a very nice system and makes bearing changes a 5 minute task. It will do any bearing with an ID over 13mm. Basically it works with engines that have 14MM or bigger crankshaft diameters.

I got one. BEST TOOL ever. I bought a few extra front and rear bearings, and charge to change them out at the track if someone has a bearing go bad.

Which is exactly why I want to have one. I'm a tool freak anyway. I also have very little patience, so I want things done fast so I can move on. I see OFNA also has a tooling kit for $50 bucks, but it only removes bearings, it doesn't have the clutch puller. Any other good ones? Mainly I just need them for Novarossi motors. I know A Main has one for $300, but that's a little excessive.

ofna kit DOES remove bearings. got it, but only to have it just in case i need to replace bearings.

U can get lots of flywheel pullers for like $15+

I'm going to change the bearing in both P5xs' that I have. What do guys recommend for bearings? Are the TKO's or ceramics that much better or replace with stock style bearings? What other quality brands are there? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get the most for my money.

Get the TKO's. The best bearings available.

I have the GRP tooling kit. It works great. Doesn't pull every size bearing. I just tried to pull a rear Picco bearing for a friend. The inner race was too thick for the puller to grab. I would say it would work on most engine/bearings. I have done OS and GRP engine with ease. So if the bearing sizes are that of those engines, then it will work.

+1 to the TKO's they are a big upgrade over stock and are actually usually cheaper than the stockers.

I have found the same problem with the GRP kit. It will do most engines but I did find that it won't work with 13mm cranks/bearings. It was designed for 14mm plus sized cranks/bearings. Overall I am very happy with the kit and it does do most engines.

Do you take your oven to the track? What if you need to change bearings trackside or get bearings in and out in 5 minutes? Just like a real mechanics in racing 1/8 we have certain specialty tools needed, and although it is pricey it will never wear out and saves a lot of headache. The oven works but it's just a old school way that is really not practical these days while at the track or in a bind.

The ofna tool works for $70 but you have to hit the bearings and it does not assure they are in straight.

This is a good investment for any serious racer who races on a weekly basis.
