Thanks.
I don't know about that cross species breeding, you may end up with a mamba micro pro.

How do you lose a cap? Did it blow or break off? You could probably use the LRP but you may not even need it depending on what you're using it in and what motor you're using. Their caps are very reasonably priced and come two in a package in case you lose another.

One guy had one break off and was going home. He was told to race anyway and he ended up winning with the un-cap'd RS with no harm to it. Of course that was in a 2wd buggy running 17.5 Blinky.

I run blinky 17.5 sedan. I picked up the car off the track and hit the cap with my thumb and broke it off right at the cap. No big deal but I forgot to order a couple this last week. Wanted to go get some practice tomorrow but didnt want to hurt my esc. I will just order the right stuff and practice twice as hard next weekend.

Thanks for the help.

I would be surprised if that is the case as Tekin designed the 222 software to have a better and feel and stronger brakes.

What class were you running and out of interest what radio?

I guess that would depend on the class. I was running stock 17.5 and had no issues at all. The throttle feel is way better than before and the brakes worked fine the 2-3 times that I actually had to use them.

For anyone that broke their capacitor, you don't need anything special to replace it.

Most hobby shops should have some kind of receiver capacitor.

Spektrum makes a nice one. Just get one, cut the wires, solder, and you're done.

Finally got it! I downloaded through Internet Explorer instead of Google Chrome, and I directed it to my desktop(what a mess, all the files on the desktop), and I disabled my virus protection. Now my 13.5 Blinky car's throttle is not smooth the way it was with 212. Nothing but one problem after the other. This is way too much work.

This really sucks. The throttle is like an on/off switch. I should have just left the 212 in. So much for the trophy race!!!
I have 5 Tekins to reprogram back to 212. WTF

Sometimes I wonder if I'm living in an alternate universe than some people on RCtech.

Radio is spectrum dx3 and since last summer have been pondering on m11x
Feel is much better, and power is the smoothest thing i've ever felt.
i made a new post about this to on this forum hoping someone from tekin will help. i'm not the only one having this problem at the track today.

Glad I am on your side of that universe.

Just ran 222 today at our race, I had to turn down brakes a bit, but they were smoother. After a run and an adjustment, so was the throttle, and I was 3/10ths faster.

I'm happy.

I also ran faster lap times then normal, but i don't like not having the extra brake power if i ever needed it..
