Maifield and Cavilairi changed only the right rear tire because that was the tire that got the most abuse with all of those left handers and Truhe changed both tires and was close till thermalling problems got him due to overgearing.....he was still geared (18 tooth pinion) for the mod truck race using 5 nickel cells with a 5.5 motor with most of using 6.5 or 7.5 motors!!!!

It was a great race and I hope ROAR has seen li-pos are not some fragile battery about blow up any second!!!

I was very happy to see 10 of the 13 lipo trucks finish the race with no problems. There would have been 14 trucks at the race if I had been able to get off work on such short notice. Does anyone know when and where the 2008 nats will be held? I sure would like to make it to the race next year!

PS. Hey Craps, how was it racing against some of the best off-road drivers in the world? I bet it was a little intimidating, but exciting at the same time...

I have started in car races on the front row with over 80,000 people in the grandstands and a TV viewing audience and I was just as nervous at my first "A" main at my first ROAR nats as I was in the car race!!!!

I almost messed up my 3rd place finish in the Masters class too because of being nervous!

How did the spec tires hold up for the 20 min brushless main? This track was VERY tough on tires at the 2004 Nats.

Guess you didn't see Maifield's battery on Saturday after his run.

Just went out to check on liverc.com. I found the mains lineups, but none of the mains results were out there. A page with a heading at the top would come up for each one, but other than that, they were blank.

There were a few pit stops to repair trucks, but it was pretty neat. Maifield's pitstop for a fresh right rear was cool.

I have a few pics and a couple really short videos to post up. Quality is ok, but it was good enough to see the magic smoke leave a wheeler lol.

Well I just returned from a great week in NM. For those of you who did not attend you all missed a great event. Between the ARCOR Club and ROAR the event was awesome. Entries were a little low but the racing was great and the track was very challenging. Hats off to Cavalieri, he was on the next level in the mains and deserved the 3 ROAR National Championships.

Our team ran great at the event. Truhe come out with a TQ in Modified Truck. Then 10 year old Dakotah Phend, holy crap. This kid is awesome! I could not believe his talent at such a young age. He was able to also pull off 3 National Championships this weekend for Losi in 2wd Stock, Truck Stock, and 19T 4wd. This gives Dakotah Phend 6 ROAR National Championships.

Congrats to all the winners this past weekend.

Thanks to ROAR and ARCOR for putting on such a great event! For those of you who may doubt ROAR, they are back and doing a great job putting on these National events.
