It's not a quality control. I got info this is some kind of a system to protect (read: control) all the Mugen distributor. Just like Novarossi with a batch number/code for all their engines.

So, basically the message is it's better to buy from and support your local shop than to order from oversea just to get cheaper price (HKG for example) because you can get all the support and warranty for the products.
