Thats good to know as at one point I heard they were NOT going to be submitted for ROAR approval.

Hopefully they cover all the classes that need a roar approval and not just 1 motor type al 17.5T.

The coloring looks nice. These coming with ceramic bearings and the aluminum screws out of the box?

Hi Cain, That may have come from me. I was told they were not submitting and I have been pressuring them. I was even trying to get them to give me some concessions and I would have handled and paid for getting ROAR approval. They finally said they will submit them. Still waiting for a list of the motors they are sending.

sounds good. If they really want to get serious about there motors, they need to get them ROAR approved.

They coming with Ceramic bearings and aluminum screws now?

Cain,
I am told they are sending the following Spec motors to ROAR 13.5 , 17.5 and 21.5 they are also sending a modified for certification as well. These are being submitted next week.
Aluminum screws and bearings will be just like the V4S

Can you confirm the bearings on what you are getting? Reason I mention this is I have heard one way (ceramics) and another (stock bearings). If ones coming from you have ceramics for sure, that is a nice selling point.

Sounds good. that is one area for sure if you can confirm it prior to selling anything that would be great as I can see some folks getting put off if they buy a motor specifically listed as having ceramic bearings and it doesnt. Save you some headache for sure.

i'd only be interested in a price point below $80. i've tested enough surpass rotors to know they come in around 1630-1660 on my meter. the stator resistance of the the V4s's were not quite ROAR minimum so i would guess the V5's are at or very close to the limit. with that, they are still behind the curve with the rotors (as the V5's have the same part number rotor as the V4's). because of that, again, i wouldn't pay premium prices. they'd have to be the same price as the V4's originally were ($60-65). for reference, the trinity copper rotors come in at 1690-1725 on my meter.
