After reading Ryan's book a few times I decided to make some changes to the dampening package. I changed the shock lengths between the front and rear, added some bump steer, took out some front camber, and boom the car was on rails.
Please note this is not black CRC carpet.
I would suspect this setup to be too edgy for black CRC carpet. It's worth giving a try and would like to hear people's feedback.

I've been running almost the identical setup on my D08 and its dialed. The only difference is I run the SMJ Red front springs and the SMJ Blue rear springs.

hi edward
Why do you run such a hard rear spring and how does it affect the car?

I wouldn't consider SMJ Silver a hard spring.
SMJ1000: SILVER LINE SPRING TS SET (Short/3pairs) | SMJ-RC

running 3.0 sliver rear springs
i run 2.6 rear with the same front springs what is the advantage?

I highly recommend you to buy Ryan Maker's book. It will help answer questions such as this and more.

There are several reasons why I used Silver rear spring. Tire choice, traction level, roll centers, and driver preference. I tried using SMJ Blue, but there was too much chassis roll making it slow and sluggish in the infield. Easy to drive but not fast. I went to a harder spring (Silver) to tighten up the rear end and make the car transition faster through those sections.

Hey guys, just ordered a new D08 DE from Alex at GripworksRC just a couple of days ago, and am wondering if there are any option parts needed that don't come with the Dynamics Edition?? When I will have the opportunity to run this it will be on the CRC black carpet.
Really excited to get this chassis in and put together.
Also, I know I've done it before - but THANK YOU, EDWARD for doing your how-to/setup videos for the various VBC cars, helped me quite a bit with the 12M and the FX.

The arms, front and rear hubs, steering blocks, inner and outer hinge pins, diffs, front spool, belts, are all the same ... the plastics however are WAY better now than the stuff that was on the 06 car. I've had silver and gold compound plastics and have been very happy with all of it.
