Default 1/5th FG cars

Dear 1/5 racers,
Due to the influx of orders coming from the States, for both parts and 1/5 FG kits.
We decided to open this thread to accomodate any inquiries on how to order parts aswell as kits.

Bon

Default FG

Not many of us out here huh. I just ordered an FG evolution and should have it in two weeks. What FG car did you get? There is another board that seems better for 1/5 scale. rctek.com is a little stuffy but has decent info. I would offer more input but like you I don't know much. FG-america.com seems to have a good parts inventory. Every spare part I ordered for the Evo was in stock.

Oh forgot about gearing and set up!

I am currently running 24/40 on pinion and spur and 16T on the lay shaft.

Here is the set up I ran on Saturday and it seems working ok, but I will try different set up see if I can get better result.

Front:
FG Black Spring with Mugen 7000 diff lube, Shock all the way lay down.

Rear:
FG Yellow Progressive Spring with Mugen 7000 diff Lube, Shock all the way stand up.

Nice Ah10. I'll be calling soon about the brake trick again. The Technokit is up and running. Are those the PMT tires. What are you using? 30's and 27's? Do they last pretty good?

for the past 2 weekends, I have been running 20/30 split up front and 20 rear. They are Kronos tires, they hold up very good, in fact the 20 rear tires I have been running for like 4~5 weekends and I probably could run then for another week or so! as for the front 20/30 split I ran 3 weekends already and they still have a lot of treads left! so I probably would and could say those 5th scale tires last longer then running foam on 10th scale in terms of $ for a year supply!

Cool. It's always going to be more cost effective than foams. In my opinion at least.

yeah I think so too! and fuel is cheap too compare with those 30% nitro fuel! and parts dont break! he he but intially buying the car is more expensive but in a year it will be cheaper to run that then a 10th scale!
