Default Dynamite .21 mach engine

So just bought this losi 8ight t amd it has a dynamite .21 mach engine on it. The guy told me he only ran half a tank through it so it would still need to be broken in. While breaking it in the clutch went out so I took it apart and it only has 2 clutch shoes in it but jas places for 4. Suppose to have 4? Then I was turning the engine over by hand without the glow plug in and it feels like the motor binds a little a top dead cent. Is this normal? I only ran about 3 tanks so I thought maybe cuz it is not broken in yet?

Yes the binding your talking about is most likely just the pinch(still needs to be broken in). As far as the clutch goes they do not have to have all four clutch shoes, as a matter of fact Im pretty sure the rtr 8 1.0 buggy only came with two shoes on the clutch.

Okay. Thanks. Now would 4 shoes be better than just 2?

Yes, 4-shoes will do much better. Go to www.tlracing.com and click on the Losi buggy. There you can download manuals and it gives you an idea of clutch shoes and spring combinations that you may be looking for, depending on your ability of driving.
2- shoe will wear rather quick due to excessive slipping.
