Btw thank you for the info Edward I really appreciate all the work you do on YouTube and the help you provide on here. I would still be lost on what to do with my car if it wasn't for you.

It's all club racing so nobody is setting timing on their motors for max power. Although I did just pick up a super cheap motor so I could get a motor analyzer for everyone at the track.

You're quite welcome! I'll admit 1/12th scale was steep learning curving for me. I came from an all touring car racing background. One thing I did learn over the years is TC and 1/12th scale setup theory are not the same, not one bit.

Persistence and patience is key for 1/12th scale and always ask questions. I've been racing 1/12th for 3 years and I've learned and continue to learn something new each day I'm at the track.

I experimented with that setup a while ago at roughly 50mm, and the motor came off the track quite cool. Would have gone higher, but went boosted instead. Was running an old Reedy Mach 1.

Since then tried 2s 13.5 boosted for a bit, but wanted more punch. I settled on 2s 8.5t boosted and love it.

Chassis balance question.

I will preface this by saying the car has about an hours runtime on it. I just recently went back thru everything to ensure there is no binding and change the ESC wiring. Even with the ESC/receiver out and only the steering servo, motor and transverse battery installed, I find the below to be the case.

With the tweak mounts backed-all the way off, the right-rear seems to carry quite a bit more weight than the left-rear. To the point of a 230/175 split (approximately). While the point of the tweak adjustment is to get equal balance, this seems to be a bit far off, at least from a 1/12 noobies assumption, for a neutral setting given the off-set pod and whatnot.

Does the above sound about right or should I be looking at fixing something (what)?

Thanks in advance.

most will balance the chassis when in 2 pieces the main chassis is the most important part for handling purposes due to the light springs up front some will balance the rear pod as well with motor spacers ect. but it no where near as important as the main chassis because the pod being non suspended it will not add any tweak the running chassis on trued tires of equal size

I'm not sure. I haven't finished building my car yet but the last of my parts are going to be here tomorrow. From what I know most of the guys are only running about 70% throttle. I'm not sure why they didn't just use a 21.5 which would have been better on our small track. I'm not even sure what gearing I need to run.

http://
I modded my shock using a Silva shock. Removing all the lipo Standoffs in front and modifying the long shock CF mount. And mounted it to the chassis. I drilled out the top of an old shock and screwed the shock into it keeping the ball mount. Then just cut a ball cup to fit on the back ball.
I have adjustability for different tracks for droop and ride height. What you think?

That looks good, I want to do something like that, but I am in a point series, and have no time for test and tune, for a modification like that.
Plus my car is running the best it has ever ran.

Highly suggest the shock modifications for the 12R5.2.
