Hi, what's the largest 48pith pinion I can fit in the TB04 without hacking the motor mount adaptor?

Thanks.

47t 64p barely fits so i would say a 35t 48p would be the largest.

Rod or anyone else who might know:

Can you use these on the TB03 spool (54125):

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=54544

It would be really cool to get rid of the metal to metal contact in the front end....

From what I've read and experimented with

With out cutting or grinding 76t spur, 47t pinion, 4.04 FDR (72t spur doesn't work with this setup)

With grinding 72t spur, 54t pinion, 3.33 FDR

No idea. I don't think any one here would really try to fit a large spur. Most of us are after a lower FDR so we're trying to fit smallest spur.

Yeah but you have to hack the motor plate, which I won't do to a new kit.

Tech tip - don't listen to George. (before somebody gets all mad and reports this to a moderator, George is a cool guy that I know and race with IRL and I'm just giving him a hassle)

My motor plate is untouched. The part you grind out is the plastic motor spacer. Or the aluminum one if you want. I'll even do it for you if you want.
