The Tech Voggard was rare at the time. I think I only saw one person having one back in the day. RC Car Action did an article on it. Couldn't find the article on Google. Perhaps someone else would have better luck finding that article.
I think what killed it was the three belt design (same problem for the FSR Bullet) because we were running brushed motors with Sanyo 2000s so people thought the drive efficiency was noticeably less than the current two belt designs. Nowadays with lipo and brushless, its not an issue.
Also another problem with the car was that the distribution for it sucked. There was this one guy who imported Tech, Tobee, Square, etc and I think his terms weren't very conducive to entice shops to carry their products.
