Actually, I enjoy having the avatars turned on. How else could this thread have enough COWBELL?

I have to paraphrase George Carlin on this issue... "There are TWO knobs on that radio..." If you don't want to see it, turn it off, leave it to the overwhelming percentage of the rest of us. Like it or not, one day, your children will see boobs. Hiding it from them builds curiosity, explaining it would allow them to classify it as such...they are, afer all, just boobs.

P.S. The whole point of comming to this country, was to escape this very issue. It even says so in that piece of paper we based this country on, "SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE" Why should your religous morals disrupt my entertainment? We know what this site is about, that's not in question. All you have to do is turn off the avatars; Problem Solved.

You can have your entertainment wherever you want. I am not stopping you. However, if your entertainment involves suggestive images of women, it won't happen here.

Will you have your wife take off her top at the public park, because it's entertaining? No, because IT'S INDECENT. (And she'd likely be arrested...) Don't think I'm shrewd -- I appreciate the human body and adore my wife (and her awesome figure as well). Women truly are a thing of beauty, but we don't need to appreciate them here.

I think the issue is there are rules you follow them or you don't if you don't there is consiquence.
YES I am a HOLY ROLLER...hence the Team I am on and manage. Seperation of church and state has nothing to do with this....
Man the ACLU has scewed people eyes on what that term accutaly means....
In short it means that THE CHURCH....Meaning a CHURCH can not make governmental decesions.....And they don't so go away with that kind of talk...

SO my point is there are rules, SO FOLLOW THEM. PROBLEM SOLVED

THis really is a huge subject. And an important thing to address within our socitey. In africa and other places, they run around naked. It doesn't seem to mess them up....
It's this religeous, right wing conservative ideology that really slows our overall advancement. Its about controll. Well, tell me. Who should have controll then? Is not the freedom of speach and expression our RIGHT as americans. Is that not what we are sending our sons to IRAQ to be killed for, to die to give Iragis that same freedom. So, who then, tell me, makes the decision for ME of what I can see or cant see. What I can read or cant read? It seems that the Avatars can be disabled, so Turn them OFF. See, now YOU have the choice. Get them eliminated, NOBODY has a choice. That is not right.

In the legal sence of things, this is a public forum, as we don't pay to use this site. Therefore, freedom of speech raines. If your worried about your kid on here seeing something that is only as sexual as those two avatars, where only the CARTOON one was even anything exposing....... You better really watch what your kids do on the net. Free porn all over the place!

yes you are correct their are rules to follow in life, society, rc racing, etc

but i think are prob. with soceity theses days is we cater to the few who get offended, when they can change the channel, turn off the radio . . .SHUT OFF AVATARS so their kids/wife/life partner will not be offended

maybe there are some people that read this board that have a different god then some of you and are offended when they read the bottom of your post everytime you make one, just some food for thought

If we were so caught up in the rules, this thread wouldn't be in the electric touring forum now would it? The reason I chimed in is because it's really annoying when people's beliefs affect my entertainment. Like I said, there are two knobs... I don't care about the rules, those are there so people like you can sleep at night.

It's the principal of the matter. Why should his beliefs and taste limit what I can see? I didn't bring up church, a Christian did. He said that the avatars offended him, as a Christian. What else is that supposed to mean? I like this site because it's not so P.C. I like hearing/seeing what people think, not what they think is "Appropriate" for children, again...TWO KNOBS.

I didn't want to start a religeous argument, just stating my opinion. It's really very simple, your religeous beliefs and or taste should never affect me...period That's why I brought up the constitution.

i got to watch a very interesting show last week on how the moral crusaders ARE influencing the government in america, basicly by putting out a regester that says who in government are leaning towards what the church and moral crusaders want!!!!! then telling all there churchy friends who to vote for. and of corse they do vote! and in a country where it is not compulsary to vote they have a good chance of getting there man in. thus influencing government as when you get enough of them in power they will do as they please cause they can, and dont think they wont!!!!!!!

i have been a athiest for as long as i could decide what i want and told my mother i didnt want to go to church cause i didnt believe or like what they said, thats my opinoin!!!!!! i dont go around forcing that on anyone else but funny enough i get woken up by ppl on saturday morning trying to tell me about god. well sorry but i can decide what i like for myself and i dont like been woken up on my day off. so please keep your religus views to your self.

and if you dont like some(1 or 2 im sure) avatars then find another forum.

oh and i do have kids(8,4 ,and 9 months) just so you know i do have others to think off too. and if i thought there was something here they should not see i would make sure they didnt see it, it is called good parenting. some times you have to say no. geezzz.

No, this is a private forum. Anything Futureal decides is FREE REIGN. He is allowing us to use his forum. If he decides to allow boobies, that is his choice, and he's free to do that. If you want to make an RCs-and-boobies forum, you are also free to do so.

He has, however, stated that we're not going to have suggestive avatars.

I'm not sure where you get your definition of 'public' but this is not a public forum. It's privately owned and operated, and as such, there are rules and they will be enforced. Freedom of speech is the general rule here, but that does not include profanity, vulgarity, or sexual materials. We will undoubtedly miss things here and there but when they are brought to our attention, we will deal with them.
