We should just consider ourselves lucky that Bertie has stopped telling kids looking for legit advice to gear their cars at 3:1 so they blow their motors up. He's improving.

That shipment might arrive in 2021 when the Chinese tariffs will be canceled....
As far as a good 21.5t motor to buy, I would recommend a Fantom fr-1 v3R with all the bells and whistles, ready for when their WHD18 rotor come out hopefully in 2021......

The monster motor is pretty good, team scream as well, the new fantom is perfectly good.

To be honest though, that gold motor should have been perfectly useable as well!

I would suggest a total car breakdown, cleaning , light polishing/anti-static treament, sanding all your wheel hexes, running unshielded bearings, and reshimming on the very loose side, before you give up on your motor and buy a new one: what's your setup, gearing, car weight, rotational drivetrain mass ???

More like the laundromat sheets to very lightly coat all surfaces(metal, plastic, etc) with the static eliminating formula... Special attention to the polycarbonate body(in&out) and the bottom of the chassis to stop that crazy power robbing crc carpet static....Of course, I have not actually tested it before but it should eliminate all winter weather static friction losses and any other magnetic effect caused thereby..
You can also complete the anti-static treatment by adding a very small amount of NMF to your bearing oil..Personally I like the NMF and Bestline powertrain lube combo..The NMF/Bestline engine treatment/Amsoil premium 10w40 combo works flawlessly in my 4.0L Jeep......
JUST ONE OF BERT'S SPEED SECRETS !!! LOL .....

I thought your Jeep didn't work. I'll make sure I steer clear of that stuff.

At 228k it just needs a new timing chain. It was making that famous lifter tick on the previous owner's mobil oil, so I changed it to the combo and voila: quiet as a purring kitten...The chain skipped a few teeth after about 1000 miles, and the electronics shut the engine off at startup now...
The NMF/Bestline stuff also works on all my rc cars, and I should be at the track mid October to prove it will work on my Novak 21.5t motor as well....I hope you guys try it soon...
