What other pipes have you tested?

Yes, I use solder wire to check the head clearence.

Other pipes not a lot, the Skyline is the only other one I have used. But the OS 1040 is much smoother and I can go about 9min, before a fule stop, unlike the skyline which is about 6 mins.

Wow!

Thanks for this info. I will give the 1040 pipe a try because it's exactly the skyline pipe I am using at present.

Is it the VR12+ you used?

Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your dad.

Hi John,

The main reason I went with pipe was also because of the advice on this forum. The main advantage I think is how durable this pipe is. The other thing persons speak of is the wide power band.

I personally, have not been impressed with the combination of this pipe on my OS Speed tuned engine. Last weekend however, I changed the header out with a brand new RB header I never used and I have to say there was a major power increase.

I have also heard many persons speak about this mugen pipe but have never tested it myself. I think I may do one day.

I'm going to rebuild my regular TZ 3 and want to mod it a little. Not exaclty moding, but just to make it run better. I thought polish the crankshaft in the end where engines flows and fuel main port.. it's that a good idea? what are yours opnions?
