I was in Charleston for 2weeks looking for a place to race. I found and drove over to Beach Hobbies. I had a good time racing with everyone. The racers there were great, and really nice people. The owners were very nice and helpful, and take time out to take care of there racers. The track is a nice indoor track which is gona be expanding and is gona make this place only better. the location of this place is great, and close to the beache's. So if your a racer and ever in town from out of town or in the area, come and check them out. This is a sweet place.

I think they just opened April. This a nice spot, with an onsite hobby shop. Lots of tire selections with parts. I think the owners names are Brent and Jayson, nice guys and very helpful. Nice tight track that will help develope your driving skills.

Cool thinks. Ill have to see if they have a 17.5 blinky class. Because Im not ready for mod yet.

There's also LGR, its in the Colonial Mall next to Bass Pro Shop. Indoor off-road carpet track. They run 1/10 buggies and scts on sat and weds afternoon. Great guys and great track. The owner is always changing the layout so its always a little different.

yes this is a awesome Hobby shop and track. great owner and tons of parts at great prices.

If you think his old location was fun try out the new and greatly improved Beach Hobbies 2.0. The track is about 4 times the size and the hobby shop is one of the biggest I have seen. Racing almost every Thursday and Saturday.

Where is the new location? Any pics?
My son and I stopped by there in June while on vacation and checked the place out, nice tight and dry track; would definitely make you drive smooth to be fast.
The owner was very nice to talk to, gave us the tour of the track and has a well stocked racer store.
We're there every June for vacation and will be bringing our pit bags along next summer.

They have been drawing really strong regional crowds for the trophy races. The Grand Opening had over 180 racers, and the Christmas Race had over 120. The Christmas Race was just going to be a club race, but then word got out that there was going to be a lot of out of towners traveling in so Brent decided to make it worth their drive and offer up some plaques.

There's a one day race scheduled for Jan 31st and then there is a 2 day Race scheduled for March 21st and 22nd. And in between club races every Thursday and Saturday.
