Thanks for the info Bill and VA.

Bill, can you direct me to a baseline setup for the CRC 10LE?
Nut,

Is that on carpet or asphalt? Does surface have good grip?

I planned on putting WGT away for a while, After last weeks race ...

But it looks like Bill needs to come down and test the rug with a new CRC ride
Let me know what day to bust out the Merchant again Bill

Bill,
It's CRC carpet with moderate grip. New indoor track in Columbia, SC, Bush River Raceway. Seems that WGT is growing there.

Dave,

I am hoping you will stick with WGT. Watching your driving in that race just fed me. I have had races exactly like that...LOL

As soon as I can travel that far...I'm a coming...Been three plus months and I probably need another three to be able to both drive that far and turn marshal again. Damn knee!

However, I am getting some practice at a new indoor asphalt track in Antioch, CA. Has a really nice high traction surface; but, its 2x4 wood barriers are brutal. Driving clean laps with my asphalt LE is critical on this puppy.

My new CRC SE car is pretty interesting. It is the first CRC WGT car that I have ever needed to add weight to. Clean and simple.

Is the D3 13.5 the motor of choice down there?

Cheers!

Bill

Scott,

For carpet...

At front, I use 1/12th scale king pins and 0.50 mm front springs. King pin length is .404" (to bottom of keeper slot). Only go to 0.55 mm springs for really high traction conditions.
Always using the reverse servo placement for both carpet and asphalt. I keep the long upper arms on for most track conditions; but, they are really only needed for high bite conditions.

At middle, the shock has 30 wt. oil (always) and center spring is red (to start).

At rear, red side springs and 10,000-20,000 lube in tubes.

Ride heights are usually 4.5 everywhere.

Kind of keeping it basic because I posted my whole setup about a year ago. Should be found on the CRC WGT thread.

Is there a CRC team driver in your neck of the woods? If not, contact Dumper (Brian Wynn) at TeamCRC on a weekday for any fine tuning issues. That's what Dumper's Speed Shop is all about!

I mentioned in another thread the possibility of WGT pairing with a potential new class for the new Speed Passion LM1 that is about to hit the US for something along the lines of either the WEC or the USCR (bearing in mind that the classes cant be run together due to variance in powerplant and other limitations)

Thanks, Bill. It'll be a long while before I get the rust knocked off and begin to catch up with the performance of the car. Will be awesome to know that it's me and not the car until I do.

BSR, CRC, T/M, JACO have WGT Spec Tires, but the JACOs don't have the colored purple stripe that some clubs require (they use to be on carbon fiber looking wheels, but are now on white wheels)

You forgot GQTires. They have had the striped WGT tires for over a year. You can get them @ hotlapracingusa.com: I've been using them in WGT for a year and they work great! They also carry 1/12th and oval tires.

@Taz,
That looks a lot like the SpeedPassion LM-1 (there is a thread on here discussing the car). Honestly, the SpeedPassion body looks better than these (in my opinion). I do, however, like the Toyota TS-030 body in the clip.
