Funny enough, I was given a gold pan RC10 by my parents and raced the hell out of it... and still have it.

This Xmas my wife got me a B4 - it's sitting in it's box waiting for parts to arrive and be built.

Brings back a feeling!

Best thing is, I was racing in the UK as a kid - indoors on carpet or outside on concrete with wooden jumps. We would read about all the tracks and the scene in the U.S and in particular SoCal.

Now I live in SoCal, I wish I could go back in time and tell 15 year old me he wouldn't be racing on carpet and concrete when he is all growed up...

My first car however was a Tamiya Hornet. It actually won a trophy in a junior event last century.

Started around '99/2000 with a Traxxas Nitro Sport.
~12 years later... what a ride it has been!

Default bolink

First was a bolink around 1978-79. First race was a bolink invader in 1986-87.

First was probably a used gold pan RC10 in 1997, yea, old car for the year. Next was a traxxas bandit around 2001, which I hated untill I got an associated RC10B3. Then B44 in 2009, and Losi 8ight-E 2.0 last month.

I am proud to say I still own all these cars, and I could probably get all of them in working condition if they are not already.

First RC ever was a Tyco Bandit when I was a kid and I played with it every day. I remember my older cousin having a Grasshopper and I was amazied at the speed. I would walk into the hobbyshop and drool over them. Fast forward 20 years and I bought an Evader BX with some spares, charger and two 1500mAh Nimh packs on Ebay. Soon after that the MERV was released. Then I bought one. Here we are now. Dozens of RC's later and a life long addict Im shure.
