4 cell 19t is a good equivilent to 6cell 27t, and it is easier on the tires...

Maybe you could do a 4 cell 12 turns class together with 6 cell 27 turns. Maybe both have equal speed. Or 4 cell 19 turns.

Catch my point?

At this moment there are 12 1:12th 2WD drivers who have pre-registered.

Although I have always preferred 6-cell, I recognise 4-cell is the current standard for 1:12th scale.

Okay, but this will probably mean no 4 cell racing in the M-Auto cup.

@Marc:
That means all the dutch and belgian 4cell drivers will run in Germany
Fine with me

I can not understand the point, why 4 cell open is blocked by somebody, this is a very sad story guys...

@ Markus

I think M-Auto did this to keep the races "fun".
Another intention they have is to try and keep away the top drivers like yourself and others like you. This is in no means ment as an insult to the better drivers but the less fortunate like to win races to.
To me there is a kind of logic in there because it is still a hobby were doing here. Some people are very serious about their racing (wich is fine) and other just want to race their peers without the stress of having to compete with driver that are 2 laps faster over a 5 minute period.

I gather you are Markus M?

Yep that's Markus Mobers allright.
I have run 4cell mod indoor @Viol last year, aand I can tell you that you can run all weekend without ever looking at your motor.
After that, just recut the comm and your fine. Brush wear is also minimal.
Tire wear? Very little, especially compared to touring.
Wanna race 4cell mod? Come on over to Viol this sunday.
www.viol-model-racing.de
I'll be there on sunday to (no time to practice)
Just look for the budweiser car!

Maybe it's good to do some more research. Just go with a bunch of people to a track, try out some different set ups and see what works best for the most.
I think this discussion says a lot. There are many people out there who'd like to see that 4 cells can be used.

4 cells all the way. For all the reasons Pro Ten said.

I'd consider racing the M-auto cup if it were 4 cells...

Can anyone get in touch with those M-Auto guys?
When they see there's a lot of interest in running 4cell, they might be persuaded!

@Hardriven RC
to keep away the good guys and keep it as fun???
Thats weird, I have fun when I am racing also! and hundreds op pros and hobby drivers at the LRP Masters or Orion Speedweekend as well??!

How can 6 cells be more fun than 4 cells...??

I guess you don't understand the point, there are quite a lot
of people that bought a 12scale car in NL and BEL again, thats
why I think its useful to allow both.

Otherwise you block the upcoming scence again!!

@Markus

I'm only stating what the organisers for the M-Auto cup are saying. I'm all for you all comming to race.

Now i'm sure you've got an ample supply of 6cell packs and i'm even sure you've got a 27t laying arround somewhere. Getting a 6cell chassis with your sponsoring can't be the problem either. I've raced with you before starting the odd 10 years ago in Dordrecht and know you are a fair and sporting driver.

Du bist welkom.

There will be a race at Viol tomorrow. I'll be there. Just look for the guy in the Budweiser blouse that only drinks Cola.

@Hardriven RC
It makes no scence for me or maybe 80% of the either drivers to run 6 cells...
Anyway, I am not seeing this in my vieuw, its the vieuw of the 12scale drivers overall and we all would appreciate 12scale in NL or BEL....

But there will be no chance with only allowing 6 cells, trust me!

BR ;-)

I'm thinking very hard of participating in the World Championship 1:12th in Italy next year. So I'll really need to practise with 4-cells.

So if the M-Auto cup is 6 cell only. I'll have to go over to Germany of find myself a dutch test track.

To bad Swifterbant had to stop, they had such a nice circuit after the EC.
