Default Suggestions on a HIGH END replacement BL for my MM??

I wanted to get a new motor to replace my 5700, I will be running 3's lipo and would love something faster and something that does not have the heat issues. I live in the desert and 115 degrees is not uncommon here this time of year. I was thinking something like a Nue/hacker/feigio something that is scary fast and reliable, best for the money. links would be extremely helpful if you have time. Paul

Try one of our Tekin Redlines! We have motors down to 2T! A comparable to your 5700kv MM woudl be a 358 Redline.

I ditto the Tekin Motors! I went from a Mamba 5700 to a Tekin 358(5800kv) in my XXX-4 and the Tekin is night and day better.

I would look at the 50 mm medusa. They make up to a 4800 KV with the 1/8th inch shaft. I have a 2000KV 60 mm in a Truggy and it runs great. I am considering a 50 mm 4800 KV to run on 2S in my BJ4WE The 4800 is just to many KV for 3S that will turn over 55,000 RPM. That is why your 5700 is hot it will turn over 70,000 RPM. Remember it is Voltage 3S peaks at 12.6 volts multiply this by the KV rating and this will give you the operating RPM I won't try to go much over 40,000 RPM I would want a little more than a 3200 KV for 3S. The Medusa is a heck of a motor for the money. The Neus are larger diameter and might not fit some cars. Neus are 40mm where Castle and Medusa motors are 36mm.

Default 11.1 lipo

the 12.6 is what it peaks at but once a load is applied the volts drop down to around 11.3-11.7. so do ur math from the nominal 11.1!

Paul, heat issues are inevitable if you want to go fast.

a higher amp draw for a given efficiency means it will heat up much more...

So I think rather then high-end, you probably want to look for higher efficiency. What you can do is slap a clip-on heatsink + fan combo on the motor to keep it cool.. I don't know if brushless motors out there differ in efficiency by much.

The 5700 is a fine motor, if you want more efficiency out of the MM + motor, lower the timing in the setting...
