Not so waterproof...
I had a great time bashing my e-revo in one the snow in reno. until i got back that is... I ran the car through one inch of water and slush and there were waterdroplets inside the esc. it's all stock setup and the esc says "waterproof". WTF? The ESC is also causing the motor to overheat and the battery packs to get REALLY hot. PLEASE HELP!!!!
PS. if i can't get this to work, can i get a traxxas guy to replace it?

I wouldn't call it waterproof. More like Water resistant. It's just like any ESC, you take your chances when running it in wet conditions.

the coating on the esc is watterproof, not the case, and since you opend it, you voided the warrenty.

I never opened the ESC. Do you think they can replace it?

The ESC is not causing your batteries too get hot , the stock Traxxas gearing IS , me and a few others feel that the E REVO is over geared from the factory for NiMh batteries , you can either go smaller on the pinion gears or get better NiMh batteries , or get a LVC and go with LiPo batteries .
BTW , I have ran mine through all kinds of water and mud and it never effected the ESC , I even used a hose too clean it off when I was done ...
