Motor Re-Build Questions
So I'm starting to get into the finer details of proper motor tuning.
I went to:
http://www.motortuningsecrets.com/tunestockmotor.html
One thing confused me, during re-assembly they say:
"Now that the motor is assembled, we need to make sure it spins very freely. If all of the steps have been followed properly, the arm should spin nearly as well as bearings..."
I have not been hardcore in motor tuning but one thing all my motors have had is the magnetic field holding the armature in place. Basically making it impossible for it to spin as freely as a bearing? or at all for that matter. I have to put some slight effort to make it spin, and even then, it turns once and locks into place again with the magnetic field?
so whats up? Am I doing something wrong or not breaking my motors in properly?
I have this with both my Monster Stock and my 19t.
