I agree that it doesn’t look as appealing as placing the information here, the only reason why I have linked it is because it was easier and quicker for me to do at the time.

No problem, I like the blog and think you're doing a good job and should keep up the hard work. It's just important to strike the right balance of providing information getting word out in the right manner. It's pretty much the biggest issue most blogs deal with. You're on the right track, I would just be mindful how you promote it. Good luck. :-)
