Droop is completely controlled by the length of the shock. Max droop (what you measure) occurs at max extension. Sag is controlled by spring preload.

You watch Bruce prepare a car. There will never be a measurement of droop or sag.

Any shimming guides for the new school front end?

maybe someone can correct if I am mistaken, but I don't see a place (or need) for a shim just yet. the alloy steering block is fixed on the kingpin with a setscrew. the droop can be controlled by where the block is fixed on the kingpin. out of the box, the spring produces no droop, it will need to sack a little before there is any droop to deal with.
if you were using the old oldskool steering block and the kingpin with e-clips that locate the block, then shimming out droop (or refreshing the springs) could be needed.
edit: Ha! it just hit me that you may have been asking for guidance on how much droop, not how to set droop. for now (or until i put in a shorter spring or longer kingpin), the basic assembly has enough preload to have no droop. it did seem a little stiff steering so maybe the springs need to wear in a little?

I just wanted to drop a note in here to let you Rev8 owners know that I have a limited run of 12th scale only rear pod plates for the Rev8. These have ride height adjusters that are lowered 3mm from the standard pod plates. This results in a slight reduction in weight and lower CG. See the attached pic. Those interested can contact me at [email protected] for availabilty and price.
