Default T4RS motor ?

Just trying to figure out which motor would be better for one of my trucks, it's a newly acquired T4RS. The stock Reedy Radon just isn't cutting it. I was thinking of getting a Team Checkpoint Money motor, or a 15x2 Trinity Speed Gem motor. The stock ESC is good for anything above 13Ts. I just wanted to get experience and info on what you guys would go for if you had the choice.

I always like the checkpoint motors. I thought they lasted longer than any other motor and were strong too.imo

Thanks for the input. So far from everyone I have talked to, I have gotten mixed results.... about half say Checkpoint money and the others recommend another motor from Trinity to consider, 15x2 SV2.

What's the truck going to be for you? A mod Race truck or basher? A good 17x2 or 15x2 motor would be fine for bashing. I ran my T4 with a Checkpoint 10x2 and it was great, maybe a little too fast for racing at the track I was at.

Checkpoints have different brushes than "normal" so you'll have to get spare Checkpoint brushes, but they do last longer. Isn't the Money motor a 19T motor? Would be a fine motor but maybe a touch slower than say a 17 or 15 turn.

I had the stock Radon motor in my B4RS and replaced it with a Peak Racing Dynasty motor, its a 19x1 but almost as fast as my 15x2 top end and with better acceleration, good torque for a T4 and well within the ESC's limits so chances are temps will keep low. You could gear up a bit aswell if you wanted more top end.

I'm not a power fiend and I plan on using the truck to race with. I would probably end up doing something around the stock class format. Not looking to go brushless in this truck. I won't be bashing with this truck, I have a Stampede for that abuse. Yes the Money motor is a 19T. I guess I will be looking into one of those peak motors along with the Trinity Speed Gem 15x2, Trinity SV2 15T and the Checkpoint Money motor. Any more help would be awesome guys. Help me narrow this down now.
