BIG Air @ the Big A with an 18T!!!!!
On Jan. 29th in Anahiem, CA, the 3rd in a series of Monster Jams was held at Anaheim Stadium. AE was part of the pit part (and half-time show) as we are at ALL the Monster Jams on the West Coast.
This time, though, I brought out the 18T for some fun. Big air??? You decide. Unfortunately, we only started taking pix near the end of the pit party. I was able to get about 30 jumps (like this) before a magnet came loose in the motor, siezing the motor. Other than that, not a broken part on the truck. The truck is basically stock....only additions are the Ti turnbuckles (part #21055), Aluminum Motor Mount (part #21093), Reedy's new Modified Mini-Max Motor (part #290) and the new Reedy Mini-Max Battery packs (part #616).
PLEASE don't try this at home. Team Associated will not warranty any parts if you try this. THIS is certainly over-abuse of this vehicle.
Ok, that said, on to the pix!!!!

So what?
Maybe I'm just a sedan guy - but what exactly does this prove?
I have an 18t and race it every Tuesday and Friday on a carpet
track. It consistenly beats hopped up Losi mini-Ts, and it is bone stock.
I just don't get what running a truck up a ramp and splashing down accomplishes.

Got it!
Now I understand......sorta like a promo employee discount program.......well somebody needs to R&D these cars.
I like the 18T a lot - I mean AE got it right the first time right
out of the box. Most of the Losi mini-Ts need a total rebuild
to compete.

I didn't do this because I 'get my parts for free', I did it to have a good time. Everyone out there has big-azz Monster Trucks, jumping this same gap. I just thought it would be fun to try it with the 18T. Not trying to prove anything (although, the pix my have!!!), just wanted to have fun. With this little truck, I probably would have done the same thing even if I DIDN'T work for AE. I like to show off a bit....
