Default Best Budget .21 Engines under $200

What are the best .21 buggy engines under $200? Looking for tuneability, reliability, and performance with an 086 style pipe.

In particular, experience with engines from:

- Thunder Tiger .21 (as seen on Amain hobbies)
- Werks
- Go Tech
- STS

Also look at the Sportwerks V2..

It is based off the the SH line.
as is most of the most of the sub $200 motors.

well this is just over 200 but i've been hearing nothing but good things about the go tech...and you may also wanna check out sts their motors are dirt cheap like $120-$150 range....and if you look around you can get modded versions for around $200 that's what i paid for mine

what do you think of the STS engines? I am looking at the E version (the really cheap one) and also that next up model.

I had the Sportwerks V1 .21 Pro here, New, but sold it as I was originally going away from nitro, but, looks like I will be doing both now.

The Go tech 5port race is amzing with the 086 pipe, thats the best pipe for it. it will have the bottom end and much more on top then the 3port engines economy engines. Plus you will be paying for high quality materials not the cheaper materials used by other companies economy or sport line engines.

Thanks for the info guys. Really leaning right now towards the STS line but still open.

So for those who have an STS engine, how are you liking it?

I have a buddy that mods STS engines and he likes them. I've actually thinking of putting one of his modded STS engines in my 8ight T.

Check out his site, I think he has a video of some of his modded engines.

WERKS B3 - Best motor I have ever had. I ran P5's for a while, RB WS7 2 and 3, OS VZB. The B3 has good power and you can get 10 minutes on a tank of gas. Put a WERKS 2013 pipe on it and gear it a little higher and you are golden! It will also work good with your 86 pipe

Thanks for all the info guys. I think I am going to go with an STS engine. Now to decide between the E model or the B one.

RB Concepts S3 for around $170 or for just over $200 get the S5 or S7. RB Concept engines are VERY easy to tune yet unbelievable in power.
