wtb: I have a CC&M/Team Cobra A/C Tire Truer Lathe but I am looking for another cutter besides the snakeskin cutter. I am turning cap tires and was looking for something that can handle the hard rubber better. anybody have a suggestion or different cutter?

I tried that. It works ok, but it groved the tire. What I was looking for was a cutter that looks like it has a bunch of little spikes all over it. I saw another racer that had a cutter like that on his truer and was currious if anybody knows where I could get one. I guess I should have said that before. Thanks

thats what I am looking for but it won't fit my truer. I need something that is round and I can put a bolt down through.

i have an ac deluxe tire truer and i use a sanding drum on mine and it works good. its about a inch or a little more than an inch in diameter and looks like a giant dremel bit. if i can i will take a pic of it and post it here. u should be able to find one it a hardware store or try www.harborfreight.com try this and see if it works..it looks like the first couple of bits on the page..they are from sears. if u get this i would buy the course grit sandpaper.
