2008 Roar Sedan Nationals
I figured I would start a thread here now that Roar has annouced the Carpet Nats. All off the gas guys can start asking when the sedan nats are going to be annouced. Even though they just got done we need to be ready for next year.
Lets hope Nebraska can go 2 for 2 on National bids for '08.

SpeedWorld Raceway
It would be nice to see Billy Bowerman's track ( SpeedWorld Raceway in Roseville, Cal ) get in for the sedan nats 2008.

Oh yeah, its big enough for nitro sedans. He's been holding nitro sedan races there all year long. The track is configured for nitro sedan cars at the moment. His hobbyshop is loading with nitro sedan cars, engines, parts, pipes, tires, and everything you'll need for a nitro sedan. There are plenty of pit space as well. Billy's track has held nationals, regionals, and other main events for electric sedans in the past. It would be nice to have a national event in California for 2008. Here are afew pics I found:

If it were decided by most attending region, region 4 accounted for around 1/5 of of those that attended this year. (Region 4 is the only region that is a single state!) I know a lot of guys from FL would like to see the Fort get it. Many of us from FL have traveled the past 3 years west, would be nice to see it come back here.

Actually, the 2007 Fuel on-road 1/10th Nationals should have been in the East this year. Unfortunately, that got messed up.
If we in ROAR are smart, we will still try to rotate the National events around the country. That way Regional racers can attend a National race in their area every two to three years. Of course it also means that good, qualified tracks need to put in their bids.
If the track is good and meeting ROAR specs. and has good area attendence, then a ROAR National event should get to your track some year. That was some year, not to say next year.
We (ROAR) do not need to go back to the same old tracks every 3 or 4 years, that kind of shoots the guys in the foot that go out and put forth the effort to build a new track. IMO
