Default Tenshock sc411 or sc401

do you think the stock esc in a scte rtr which I'm told is a

Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro 1/10 Sensored/Sensorless ESC w/SmartSense [ CSE010-0066-00 ]

or losi says 1/10 MSC-MCPRO Brushless ESC [ LOSB9504 ]

can handle either the sc411 or sc401?

and if so what ''c'' rating packs do you think i will need?

thanks a lot

if you run a 4000kv sc401 i can promise you it will haul ass, i had a 4000kv sc401 and it screamed. The sc411 doesnt have any more or any less power just sensored, the mmp should handle it ok, you may need to run a bec. and minimum of a 45c pack

That motor in that truck is super power hungry so yea, 45c at a minimum. I run the sc401 and my brother runs the 411. Both awesome motors with tons of power. I would suggest the sc411, it definitely runs a little smoother than mine.

How so? I'm fairly new to the game, but I've got a blitz and an sc10. The blitz has a sensorless flux reload v2/flux shot 4000kv setup and the SC10 has a Novak Kinetic ESC and a sensored Novak 5000kv motor. Both feel just about the same. The top speeds are both within 1km/h of each other on stock gearing and they don't feel all that different.

Im not so sure it depends on how you have it geared and what kind of track your on and the way you drive. I run my stock SCTE on a tight indoor carpet offroad tracked geared lower no timing or punch control. With a 5000mah 30c 2s and for 5 mins its fine and still enough punch. On a bigger track with higher gearing oh yea i wouldnt dare run lower than 40c on that motor !

I run the SC401 by the way.

Not sure, I ran 411 on rx8. Maybe search in the mmp thread.
Sensored is smoother and more controllable on the bottom end... the way to go.
As said, minimum C should be 45 for a 4 pole. Lowest C I run is 65 and just got the SMC 7200 70c pack, fantastic!

With that power hungry motor and the weak mmp bec you should use a cap at least. May need an external bec.

I swapped out my 411 (4600) for a hobbywing 540 four pole (4700) and it has more bottom end and mid range. About the same top end.
Not as smooth as the 411... but that's what you get with stump pulling bottom end.

Its pushing around my 7.1lb Mugen SCT and rips. Just pointing out an alternative to the 411 that I feel is a better motor and I have ran both.

Also the
Esc/motor combo (pro C-1) is $190. Don't have to worry about the mmp working with a 4 pole any more

If you decide to stay with the Tenshock, I have a 411 with ceramic bearings that's never seen more than 145° (known by telemetry logs).
Raced about 10x and is strong as new that I will let go for $55
