Here's my new Arrowmax aluminum chassis. Just arrived today.

Weighs in about 50g more than the stock chassis pictured and roughly twice as stiff.

I will weigh the stock non cut-out chassis plate when I remove it from the car.

Here's a few pics after install. The non cut-out chassis was about 68g, cut-out was 64g, the aluminum was around 110g.... Can't remember exact number now.

So it added about 50g to the car. Not thrilled with that, but it's low weight.

It'll be a few weeks till I can test I think. This car has the stock towers on it, my other car is running the lowered cso shocks and towers.

Both have been performing equally well.

My cars have been dialed. No complaints.

I know that these shocks are shorter than the original ones, but will they need short springs to work properly?

Can someone comment on the new motor mount? I know 2 motor mounts for the TCXX so far: the original TCX, the new one which allows easier access to the screws (but moves the motor away from the centerline compared to the original TCX mount). So what does the new motor mount do? Any part numbers?

Also, those "V2 DCJ's... what's new about them?

Most of shock springs (regular size springs, short springs) will with those shorter shocks.

Where can I find the same upper deck i see in the pictures? It seems you are already able to put the center screw without the 4 screws in the rear part

Moraccio, it is a standard top deck with a center post. There is a hole in the lower chassis that lines up perfectly.

Hey,

The new motor mount is similar to the original TCX mount except that it is raised by 2mm and is compatible with the new chassis and the old chassis.The new DCJ's are now using the thin bearings in the steering knuckles and it is now rebuildable so that it will be more durable.

You can make a center post by cutting one of the "H" style spur gear bearing supports. (Opposite of motor mount)
