I take it thats for the fs conversion kit as the full fs roller has not been released yet. That is a better price works out to about $ 250 aus delivered. Still a pain in the arse though as if I am not mistaken the fs has gone to the pin mount rims like on the b4/b44. So all my rims would be useless. Yeah i know they arent that expensive but when you add it all together...
To my knowledge, the full kit won't be out for a month or so.

Is the fs replacing the sp or is it like a worlds edition type thing? Sort of tossing up whether to convert my current car or wait for the full fs kit to come out. As it is nearly the end of the season here I may wait until the new year to decide. Does anyone have a listing of what parts are in the fs conversion kit?

I have run the Sphere TC before in my SP. It was fine. I took the fan off though. I find the mode switches on the Sphere's go after a while even when keeping the holes covered with tape. Other that that, they are pretty solid. I am thinking of trying the Tekin RS Pro in the SP while my Sphere is getting fixed.

That would have been my FS & RB5 you where looking at they both run the proline conversion for the rear.
If I am correct you run the original ZX5 to convert to an FS you would require the ZX5 SP conversion and the FS conversion as the suspension on the SP & FS are different to the standard kit & RTR.
You will find the FS Kit a better option as the SP conversion is rare as rocking horse sh-t.

Hey guys got an original ZX-5. This is my first 4wd buggy and from the limited run time I am already hooked. I put in a Novak SS5800 and am using a 4500 6 cell batt. Im assuming it has the stock spur geat. The manual stated running a 17t pinion (which is what I installed) the problem I am having is after about 5min of run time it's shutting down on me. ESC is getting to hot. Any ideas nothing is binding and everything works fine. Anybody heard of issues with this ESC combo? It really seems almost to fast for this car.

Meh seems kinda weird as ur fdr is around 11 which really shouldnt place that much strain on ur speedy. Hell I am running a 17.5t with an fdr of 5 and it barely gets warm. Do you have sufficient airflow? I assume this is a rtr right? If so cut some holes in the shell to allow air through.

Not sure this is the system I have http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...rt/ss5800.html
This is not the RTR kit.

The SS5800 is there budget series and uses a bonded rotor. These rotors tend to be much more tempurature senesitive and cannot take the abuse that sintered rotors can. My guess the motor is just overheating. The speedo is fine but you may want to look into upgrading the motor or at least the rotor to sintered.

I guess they say the 5800 is = to a 8.5 turn. Is this to strong for this type of car? This thing is squirrly. Is the 17t pinion ok should I go down or up? Thanks
