Ipanema belted slicks have gone 121 mph, no problems.
Our Warrior body is for track racing, has gone 105 mph, but makes more down force than needed for top-speed runs. Jr is running a heavily modified PF8. We're working on a speed run body called the "Bullet". It should help JR go even faster.
Good luck, have fun.

looking for a little pinion help i have been running my gpt with a 540xl7 for about a year now and finely the 6 cell lipo killed it. now it is has smoked i am going to get the castle 2200. i tried the 540xl with a 19 pinion it did hit 72 mph but heat was always a problem. with the new motor i want a good match of low heat and speed. what would be a good size to start with since the 2200 is a 4 pole and the 540xl was a 2 pole i not really sure where to start. just wondering what you guys are running
another thing, i have looked at this motor would you think it would be better for the price
60.00$
44mm round
55mm long

Well, I am FINALLY making the time to build my car...
What is up with the raised battery/esc/receiver tray? I would think a lower cg would be more beneficial. Anyone modding theirs to bring them down to chassis level?

Mine will be on the left in front of the motor, I weighed all my electrics, the servo and motor with esc is near about the same as my 4s hardcase

Inspect the tires before going out little nicks will expand and start ripping at speed. (A phone book is impossible to rip in half until you give it a little twist.)

What about medial pro Tarmac 2's? since it's basically a 1 piece tire and insert, you can glue them complete in contact with the rim? this would only let the rubber stretch? I am currently running an old set , and they are holding up to my 17/51 ratio so far.
I also bought some ofna/revo springs from rc4less, I bought the full set and the copper seem to be just as hard as the dm yellows, I really wish everyone would rate their springs in lbs, would make it so much easier

What's up guys?
I've been thinking about picking one of these up, and I've done a fair amount of reading in this thread over the past couple of days, but I've still got a few questions if some of you wouldn't mind helping me out.
I know that the servo I should be using for this car should be a high speed (around .06-.08), but I'm wondering what kind of torque I should be looking for. I'm coming from the land of 1/8th buggies and monster trucks where really high torque is the most important thing. I'm assuming that I don't need that kind of crazy torque for an on-road vehicle.
Also, I'm wondering what most of you have your ride height set at (front and rear). I've seen one post where the guy had 9mm front and 11mm rear. If I get one of these bad boys I'll probably be running it at least some of the time on my neighborheed streets. They aren't bad streets by any means but it looks like this thing sits LOW. Just wondering if any of you are bashing around your neighborhood without any issues.
Any other things I should know before I spring for the GTP2e would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help in advance!

Does anyone know an easy way to tighten the motor mount screws without removing the receiver box or using the wrench's small end to tighten the whole length of the screw? My man sized fingers are too big to hand tighten the screw.
That's the only problem I see with the vehicle.
