ST-RR maintenance?

ST-RR maintenance?
Just wondering how often you guys change certain parts on your ST-RR. I have been putting allot of time on my truck and haven't really replaced anything that hasn't broke. I'm thinking I should put in new diff cups and bearings about now, but maybe I'm wrong? I got 10 or more race days on this truck, plus practice days.

the strr is a very durable truggy.. as long as you are cleaning and inspecting the diffs and other parts you will be fine..

That's sort of the endless pit of lack of maintenance people get into, and then seemingly have something go wrong every race day or every heat.
Personally, I go through and replace things as part of routine maintenance before they're broken ~ worse case scenario, I've got a used spare diff (rebuilt and clean) and other bits and pieces I can throw at the truck in an emergency or as needed to get through a weekend.

Unless your rich I would not replace parts that are not worn just because..When my CVD's start getting slop, when bearings have to much play, excessive slop in suspension parts..I will change/replace then..Kyosho parts are not cheap and I dont have a huge RC budget, I do keep spares and I dont let stuff get excessively worn..I guess it's a judgement call..

I think using rocket-mtrsprts method it would be cheaper to just buy a new truck and sell the old one. And I wrong? I mean i can get them for $600 new, I'm sure I can get $250-$300 for my used roller. I am thinking I am right.
..so if someone has a different idea..

Well I went ahead and did a complete tear down last night. To say I am impressed would be an understatement. These diff cups and gears all looked brand new after I cleaned them out. Not a single sign of notching!!!! Man my Losi buggy will notch the diff cups after 1 race day. This ST-RR has at least 10 race days, 4 of which had 30 minutes mains.
So all I did was give it fresh oil, nothing else looked in need of replacing or was sloppy with the exception of the rear hubs and a few bearings.

Same here have about 2 gallons on my ST-RR I tear it down after every race No worn parts the Moly ring/pinion holds up real nice after every run I clean and rebuild them. the only parts I have been replacing is the o rings and retaining clip on the rear BB shocks other than that I haven't dipped in 2 any spare parts I bought except the front arm that I broke when i hit the rail once Solid Truck
