I pre-ordered my T414 today (I like calling it the T414 LOL), Australian stock I think is due Monday or Tuesday, looking forward to getting it, really looking forward to the build, and getting a much closer look at what I think is going to be a fantastic toe/roll design.

Are your ackerman links the same length left and right? And the servo has full throw?

This is the clearance with my rod ends;

Completed at last;

Using the lower hole in the servo saver I get 24-25deg steering on both sides, despite the fact I had to increase the EPA to increase the motion.

There's a technical reason for that.. I forgot to refit them after removing the spool
And no, I hadn't even noticed until you pointed it out

oh and heres one for ya,since i ran mine its developed a small amount of slop in the rear uprights,they move forward and back on the pivot pins,is this something that needs shimming?at a guess id say a 0.3 shim should make it snug again,but is it worth doing?

yeah,epa is at 120 and all measured with digital calipers,the links are spot on,i moved the saver around a few times and go nowhere,ive got it turning the same amount each way so alls good,if i suffer from a lack of steering ill work more on set up

Yeah, too much red there Damien. Better fix that. Uniform color is worth at least 0.2s/lap

Did you put the servo saver in the top hole? If I use the lower hole I can't get full throw. The barrel is no where near hitting. Prob a 2-3 mm gap at full throw. Moved it up and had to take 20% of dual rate out of my radio and backed 10% of EPA out of both sides. More steering than I needed..lol

I never run the holders.
First time I bought an Xray kit that came with them I fitted them, Broke one on the very first run.
Just something else to stick out and make contact with the ground.

Invest in a decent servo.

My Sanwa BLS (with the link in the lower hole on the servo saver) can give me more than enough lock and I'm not at 100% on the radio.
It's circa 27deg on the inside and 19deg on the outside wheel when running around 0.5deg toe out.

Here is a picture of Matrin Hudy's cars at IIC. Look at the one in the left. The rear upper clamps are different. Anyone see these on any cars. Looks like the inside camber link holes are not in the typical triangle pattern.
