I can beat T4's with my T3. I could probably beat them with my T2 as well they're nothing special really..

The B4/T4 platform steering seems really bad. Huge amount of play in it where the only play in the B3/B3 steering is in the servo.. Can't help too much on the bumps send the car flying off in any direction..

New ball cups (Losi) and a stronger servo saver spring take almost all the play out...

I still race my T3. Still one of the most durable trucks I have seen.

whoa kufman, last night I was watching those same vids and this morning I came on and you had posted links to 'em...

Nrctc3- It's cool, tell us how you do with it! I'm kinda looking forward to see someone besides me who races theirs...

By the way, I'm racing my T3 on Wednesday, with an Intellispeed esc and a Reedy 19 Spec quad mag... I'll let you know how I do in Spec

Nice vids kufman!! That thing looks sweet. I have a question for you though. What rear tires are you running on that? I have a T3 and my 9 yr old son has one and both came with ProLine BowTies that will do nothing (in our circumstance) in grass. We usually take ours down to the local ball field to run until the weekend where we go and race at a regular track. I'm new to electric - we have 2 T3's, a XXXt and a Duratrax Evader (for my daughter) and have a blast with them.

In atleast one of those vids, I think both that were in the grass, I was running pro-line Dirt Paw's, part number 1043-00. They work very well in the grass and descently on loose dirt. They will wear very quickly on a hard surface. Other tires that may work well are the Trac-ta-gator PN# 1045-00, or the Speed Paws pn# 1047-00. I haven't owned those two, but they seem to have descent studs on them. One more link

Good luck, and have fun.

Hey thanks for the info. I just put in an order for a pair of the Dirt Paws and a new set of rims. Was a big change to come from nitro to electric but I have to tell you I am having a blast.

Well let me ask what your doing with this T3?Are you just playing or what?
We usually gear 3,4 up to 8 teeth over the wind of the motor.
So if it's a 16 turn you could use as small as a 19 or as high as a 22-24.I would say a 20,21 would be great for almost any application.
What kind of 16 turn is it?Does it have bearings or Bushings.Either one try and make sure you lube those before use everytime.Keeps the life of the motor up and usually faster.
Hope this helps.Have a good time with the truck.
Great Hobby and welcome to it.
