Arizona Desert Championship starts tomorrow 4/25 at 7:00p.m. $10 entry fee. top 2 transfer to the mains on saturday 4/26.
Saturday practice is 9a.m.-noon. Concourse judging at 12:15. First class $15 second class $10.

Thanks to all the cry baby'sout there the sportsman class is done.god job now you can go get your ass kicked by 8 guys instead of 2 that makes sense.You should of put as much time in driving as you did whining you might be more competive.

I heard it be said that sportsman was done. I am not sure of the cause. My guess was that no one was signing up for 17.5 buggy. Like 10-15 in sports man and 2-3 in 17.5. But that was just my guess. Rodney ran 17.5 in the main after his 4x4 exploded and he was in 4th for a while and he was pretty quick...at least i had issues passing him, until he crashed. I think some of you guys running sportsman have gotten better running that class. But since they are being combined, I hope everyone does not drop down to novice. I ran at w3 on Wednesday and was 28th out of 28 after the first round. People were leaving the drivers stand because I hit them too many times. I was about to drop to novice since about 4 of them were faster than me. But, I stuck it out. Won the C main and finished in the middle of the B main. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the results, even though I didnt make the main. Winning isnt everything, having fun is what it is all about. Although, when its me Martin, James G and taylor in 17.5 it is not much fun having no one to do close racing with, so I am kinda looking forward to some people coming to 17.5 that I can compete with, instead of just getting lapped.

Fun racing this weekend. I know Alexis loved it. She loves the trophies. On a side note. She asked me if the tracks in phoenix will have nice people like at hobbytown. lol, I think she will miss travis, lol meow

Coming from lee talking about sandbaggers guess who has tq tonight in the novice class at wh3. Yep Lee is a novice now that he moved to Phoenix so Lee I guess Tam and I will join you in novice for the dirt invert

lol, I barely even TQ's that. In practice I was terrible, I even managed to punt Maifield a few times. I could not see the left hand side of the track very well and people were getting pissy, so I dropped down. I will be running 17.5 next week. I think several of the novices were faster than the D main 17.5 guys. According to my qual times, I would have been the DQ I think. I am starting to figure out the track and tire combos. I am pretty terrible on new layouts and new tracks. I wish i could make the Dirt Invert, but that is mothers day weekend and I need to be in Tucson. The new layout at W3 is is ok. Most of the track is easy, but the left hand side was hard for me. I really wish that would use white paint to mark the jumps instead of green. I just cant see the green at all. My eyes are old.
