the msr spring sometimes needs to be shaved just a bit to clear the treads. theres a fews team drivers who use the msr spring, paulie is one of them, but i beleive what ever you have will work.

any benifit on just buying the aluminum upgrade shocks or the Serpent shocks and just putting the stock ones aside? i see alot of people having trouble with the stock shocks....

There isn't really a benefit except for the fact that aluminum shocks are more durable. The stock shocks are good, it's just that many don't know how to build them the right way, or how to use the adjustable pistons correctly. They are actually a lot more simpler than they sound, so I suggest first using what comes in the kit and asking any questions along while building

Until I found out that I had to re-adjust the two speed shoe set screws to just the right amount of space in between both shoes and the outer aluminum housing.
Once I learned how to set that right, the original XRAY 2 speed springs have always worked consistently and with longevity.

I doubt it. I have tried a few fuels with this motor. But let me see what you got.
