For those doing the TA05 pulley conversion...keep in mind that the tooth design on the belts/pullies you see in pictures are different to the ones that are used with the standard 415. I'm waiting for the "open bag, install parts" conversion sans dremel or any other modification

Hey Rodzilla. I just popped on the TA05 diff pulleys and everything was a direct fit. I didn't bother with the small pulleys. I think Jimmy said that the Ta05 and 415 had a different belt pitch, but both belts are labeled S3M, which defines a 3mm pitch between belt tooth. If you place the 415 and ta05 belt side by side, you'll see that the pitch is exactly the same.
Even after doing the mod, I've been slower than slow. I'm beyond washed up

I don't think you can fit a TA05 one way diff on a MSX because the TA05's one way is off set. I think you just need to buy the set for the MSX.

I've been using the original belts for the 415 with the white TA05 diff pullies for a while now and they seem to fit and work great. I don't see a problem.

Ling...for real? The guys have been telling me otherwise, doh! I think it was the shape of the teeth on the belt. I'll check this old "new-type" belt that found it's way into my toolbox and see if it is indeed different.

Hey, Ling...are you saying the mod (TA05 pulleys) made you slower or they helped...just not very much?

Rod I have been running my 415 converted for about 2 months with no issues. I know DJ and Troy had a good discussion about it down at Reedy.

Not only do you have to modify parts but Fred said they won't be TCS legal until it's a hop-up option! I guess, no loopholes allowed in this mod!!

How the hell did this page make it to page 3.

Anyway, does anyone know if the MSX conversion kit is still being sold? Can't seem to find one

Tamiya has had a re-release of the MSX upgrade kit. They have it priced at over $300 US But rc-mart and a few others have it in stock. Rc-Mart are selling it for $214 USD see link below.
