I saw that some people are not using the radio box, why is this? To make the car lghter or balanced?
Thanks Dan

I moved my receiver over to the right hand side of the car, because of the way they route the wires, makes a big mess, and it is allot easier to trouble shoot electrical problems. I've also eleminated the on - off switch, plugging my battery directly into the reciever.

Wires are much nicer, easy to route. Very much like a Mugen.

I kept my receiver cover on the left side of the car, and bolted my fuel filter to the receiver cover.

Might lose a little weight, but not enough to make a difference.

Yeah just called the lhs and with time constraints involved. Looks like im getting the ofna. Since its meant to be stronger.

I want the duratrax , but with shipping its 29.99. So total something over 116

While my ofna will be 74 + 24 for the extra battery. Close, but faster shipping (since its right there I just walk in and out) and lower price. 108.

Man that is so exspensive though. I wasnt expecting this in the budget and didnt allow myself enough time to grab a nice used one off ebay.

Other drawback is having to assemble the ofna.

did HPI not have their own motors in mind when they designed the r40, or vice versa?

I can't adjust the low speed needle because the tank is in the way..

Well got the OFNA starter box. Thanks REGG for the suggestion. You helped seal the deal.

I also saw how you guys were talking about the stronger single motors and I can get a panel later.

I've tried a few last season, and they do help increas traction in the short term. if your running a long main say anything more then 5 min you start to notice less and less traction.

tire sauce is better suited to electric then nitro.
