Default Cheapest online store for car kits.

Check this Japanese Store guys.....The price is the best I could find so far for V One RR. Everything including shipping just cost SGD$530. Also other makes like Mugen and HPI....all way cheaper than local prices.

If anyone got other cheaper sites, please share ok.....

Well....I intend to buy the V One RR from there. Cheapest I can find so far.....as for security.....u will even have to scan an image of your credit card to them as a verification.....so wat do u think abt the security?

As for spare parts, we can get from the local stores or even from K-factory...cheap and good parts.

I did some calculation based on prices the LHS give comparing the shipping + product price. (V-One-S rear stabilizer set, V-One shocks x 2 sets, Diff gear set) It came up to about $10+ cheaper if I order from hobbynet. I am considering to order them since the LHS don't have stocks for them except the diff gear set.

Well...it may be only a little cheaper...but then its still a better choice i guess...cuz V One RR is rather new in SG and they will sure sell at a high price while they still can.....so in the end,it may not only be a $10+ of savings loh....BTW...anyone knows how much does the kit cost in SG?

If you are new to this, just get it from any of the stores... A new kit cost around 560-580 bucks... For your information, this kit is not new in Singapore anymore and dealers would not jack up the price as you mentioned...

Well I don't know about Kyosho......
But for Mugen, Singapore is still much cheaper!!!!!!

Eg. MRX3 there us$558 so about s$1000plus , Singapore below s$800!!!

Mrx pro with mt12, there us$402 without shipping....singapore also about s$800.

And If I am not wrong, After the shipping charges still got 8% tax.!!!

Default online stores

Checked the website. Not everything is cheaper. For example, the TA04R Altezza cost USD208 or S$375. You can buy it in Singapore for $330.

Saving $10 , $20 by ordering online not worth it. Reasons:

1. You have to wait
2. In case the kit is incomplete or damaged, you are stuck
3. Buying online not secure as most people believed, even if it says SSL
4. You may have to go to postoffice to collect it
5. Hobby shops no business. Then go bust, you cannot buy parts locally

You might as well quit the Radio Control and take up watching TV as a hobby, if that little money means so much to you.

Bottomline... SUPPORT YOUR LHS!!
We can count ourselves lucky as our prices here are one of the lowest, second to HK and third to Japan! At least for my knowledge... Take a look at Tower Hobbies and see what kind of money those people are forking out! And they would consider that relatively cheap!!

By the way, our neighbours up north are not having very much better bargains than us!

Nipple: You meant when the goods reached Singapore shores, the Custom will tax us another 8%?

serpentboy: i agree to you as $10 to $20 not worth for the saving. Kopi 2 times $10 gone liau.
the reasoning mainly because of the kits found to be incomplete, that's all.....

I argee about supporting most of our LHS and our Singapore economy. Buying online is only limited to unavailable stock or special parts that you don't get locally.

Most of our LHS need our support but some are just out to earn our hard earn money by some unscrupulous ways. (refer to the best hobby shops thread)
