Default Traxxas Slash Spur Gear Removal?

I have taken out the 3 Screws...now all i have is the Nut with the Springy Thing holding it in and i cant figure out how to get it out...Can someone help me with a good detailed discription...maybe pics?? or a link to a video or something??

i answered in the f/s thread you asked in lol


just pry on it gently and rotate it to move where you pry, and it'll work off

it is very simple first you take the gear off with a hex driver or what ever you wanna call it and then u take the three screws out and take the break pad out and the bearing out and transfer all of the parts over to the other spur gear and then you are done

I used to just stick a screwdriver either between the spur and pinion or in the teeth of the spur, worked good for me.

take the 3 hex screws out stick a small screw driver between the spur gear and motor plate and pop it off

I think he is having trouble with the slipper nut and spring.

Try holding the spur and removing the nut. You may have to hold the axles if they turn while trying to remove the nut

Do Not Pry it with slipper nut and spring still on, it will not come off
