Maybe your avatar blured what I was reading

So new 4300 seems to perform similar to IBs. Should we exepect matchers to "promote" GPs now?

Initial testing is very encouraging. Further testing will determine the performance but they seem to be quite good. It will be interesting to see if matchers go back to the GP cells

I have been cycling the new cells from GP and the results are as follows:

GP4300H-MPV similar runtime to IB4200WC
voltages the same if not slightly better than IB4200WC
internal resistance much the same

GP4600 runtime - up to 40 secs more than IB4200WC
Voltages - approx 0.005v less per cell than IB4200WC
Interenal resistance - only maybe .1 more than IB420WC

It would seem that possibly GP have produced a cell that can compete with the latest IB4200WC cells.

Since these cells could match the IB4200WC cells in terms of performance, what about their durability???

Are these GP4600 as durable as the old GP3300???

Cannon -- I agree with your assessment! I am sampling these cells right now and I am very pleased thus far. They even seem to be retaining one of the nicest GP qualities -- DURABILITY!!

The Cannon is definately excited about the initial tests, we the racers can only hope the self discharge issue is gone with these new cells, if that is the case we could see a new king of cells.

Props must still be given to IB, their performance has been mind boggling for the last few years.

I cant wait to run these new cells next week at the TITC in Thailand, will be a good test for them.

How this is bad for "me" or our "sport" I
cannot understand !

would seem the Li-po makes it way easier for others new to this sport to have fun....

But nooooo .....

We must stay with the same battery`s we have now ......

and
After all these years we have embrace new battery`s ....

Every new cell has been used and push aside by a newer and better one....

So why now should this change ?

I can`t believe the politic`s involved in this sport.....
Oh i CAN ,very much so

i have the 4800 plat (it has gone soft ) but it saved me loads of dosh in the time i have used it & now i have the 3200 carbon

people are scared of change they rather sit in a Rut then move on over & try it

also in the uk ,there has been a few unfounded storys re;;orion Li-pO ,MAINLY BY PEOPLE WHO DON`T KNOW or haven`t a clue Muppets

Canon just what is the weight increase over a 4200 cell?
My guess would be around 15-20g per pack
