Hey do ya know which is better....The M Troniks M3 cube or the GM Sx-9
#2
i think the cube is actually smaller. i have had two, and i think that they are great.
they are getting harder to find, as the new cirrus is the new top dog from mtroniks.
two thums up for the cube

Don't be afraid to ask this question of some of the guys in the UK....there the ones who will have much more experience with Mtroniks. I've heard good and bad about the M3. From what a couple of UK drivers have told me, it was pretty advanced stuff that was put on the market too soon. The Cirrus has supposedly fixed all the M3's shortcomings and is reported to be a great unit.
I once thought GM had a great reputation, but after looking at many of the UK and German forums, It appears the SX-9 is NOT the one to have. Apparently even Horizon Hobbies will not replace a bad SX9 with another one....they'll send you an SX12.
I'm gonna try the Mtroniks. Good Luck

SX12 is an excellent speedo......they had problems with a low thermal shutoff on the SX9, so they discontinued it quickly, and are replacing it with the much better sx12......I think that is a respectable move by GM. Some companies would just continue to sell a bad product.
The SX12 has great specs.......
.00025 resistance (over half less than the GT7)
no motor limit

no, smaller is not always better. i just can't compare the two appropriately, because i don't own the gm unit.
i was just stating an observation.
the cube isn't very programmable, but it runs well.

I've seen 2-3 MTronics low end ESC - very strange behavior from time to time. Personally I wouldn't spend money on them. I dont know of the high end stuff though.
There's a GM V8 and V12 in our club - people are very happy with them. One thing I rellay like about the GM, is that it's the cheapest ESC I've seen so far, with a 6 volt BEC. I've read somwhere that GM's not the easiest to program. But I havent tried it myself though.
