I am curious to see what others are using for traction spray at their local tracks...at my track I am using just either Orange or grape pop...sometimes root beer....and it seems to work ok, but I would like to hear what others use. I am aware of VHT, but its a little too pricey, this is not a permanent vacillity and it takes a full 6-7 2 liters to cover the drive line....any homemade recipes? I've heard of sugar water recipes???

I agree with RCI. Tamiya uses pancake syrup/water solution for traction. It's pretty cheap at Stater Brothers or other grocery stores. It's like 5-6 dollars a gallon and can be cut with water to cover the track. 2-3 gallons gives the Tamiya Track insane grip But be careful...ants love it too hehe

Snow cone syrup, cut with store brand strawberry soda. The best traction compound I have ever used is "Sprite" soda syrup, (Sprite before they add carbonated water to it) cut with Sprite or water. It's hard to get, we had a guy who was a driver for Coke and he was able to get it for us. The guy quite racing and took our connection with him.

(1) gallon of grape snow cone syrup mixed with (2) 2 liters bottles of grape soda. adjust accordingly to your track size. this stuff REALLY is the ticket...

At our local track we use molasses.
Its a thick syrup from sugar cane
and very cheap. 30 liters of it cost
less than 5 US Dollars here in our
country. It is diluted with ordinary
water and sprayed all over the trak.
Grip is fantastic with it whether
concrete or asphalt.

how do you put molasses do you use water???

wouldnt that stuff be like a ciment that bakes and taste like crap?

Anyone try corn syrup dilluted with water? Sounds simple and cheap.

we use sugar & water, the mix varies on how much sugar poeple bring

I would like to try contact cement thined . this will dry quickly and would probaly last much longer than others cost would be more I think i might do a little experimenting and post the results
