Default Rumoured new XRAY TC

After looking through the fourms, i've repeatedly came aross people mentioning a new XRAY TC in development. Now, has anyone actually seen this TC? or know any info about it? or is it just a rumour? If you know anything, just post it!
Thanks~

Default Rumours

Hi all,

On the X-ray someone said there will be a new X-ray TC.
He based this on the fact that he couldn't order a new FK anymore.
That's total nonsence!
At my local hobbyshop I can still order the FK kit.

if you go on xrays own forums someone actually asks if there is a new car in development and one of the team clearly says NO...i dunno if they are saying it just to hide something but i doubt they will come out with something any time soon.

The rumour of a shaft drive xray car has been going on for over a year now, its quite old..
I cant see why they should change their current belt drive to shaft drive..the drivetrain on the T1 cars are amazingly smooth and light.

Ok, they will release a new car sometime.. they are always developing new stuff to go faster..but i cant see why they should make it a shaft driven one..

Kalimera,

like it have been said, rumors of a shaft drive X-Ray have been around for ages and ages. The only shaft driven we saw was the M18, maybe hat was it...

Kalispera (good evening)

I know about that rumor back then, but this rumor is more recent! To tell you the truth I don;t like shaft driven cars because you have to put the batteries in one side! (One reason that I don;t like XXX-S)

If X-Ray does make a shaft driven car I wont buy it, I'll stick to my FK

very good point there nnick, i don't like the battery on one side and everything else the other configuration of the shaft drives.
I think the current XRAY is a very good car already, and the refinements over the years has made it just about perfect, but at the TC world is so competitive and fast paced, companies are always developing new parts and chassis to keep buyers interested. Perhaps there IS a new XRAY, but i doubt it'll be released anytime soon.

Before the XB8 was official presented there were rumors about a Xray shaft car.

Many people thought Xray would release a new shaft car or something like that but it wasn`t so.

Evene Mario Hudy said last year at the Reedy Race that Xray wont release a shaft car.

Default Batterie placement

Hi,

To tell you the truth I don;t like shaft driven cars because you have to put the batteries in one side!
It is possible to built a shaft driven car that has the batteries on both side's of the chassis.
The only backdraft is that you can't have both the engine and batteries in the middle of the chassis.
So the batteries on one side and the engine on the other side is for the balance.

The current X-ray is a great car with still a high level of potention in it.
I,m sure their will be updated parts available soon, but building a completely new car is not nesacerry.

I will stick to my X-ray T1 FK untill their is a new belt driven X-ray out

Bye Thomas
